Pre-production and Production Diary

Pre-production

Production Diary

Production Diary 1:
On this day of the production, I drew 11 frames of the storyboard as part of my group's pre-production.

Production Diary 2:
On this day I managed to draw almost all the frames left on the storyboard.

Production Diary 3:
On this day I finished off drawing all the frames on the storyboard that were left to draw before completing the props and costume list. I also filled in the minor model/ performer release agreement.

Production Diary 4:
On this day I helped get the recce done along with the release form and the health and safety.

Production Diary 5:
On this day of the production, we started shooting the film. We managed to get the first couple of shots done. Toby and I acted out some of the first scene, while Harry operated the camera.

Production Diary 6:
On this day we filmed more scenes that were unfortunately unusable because of the poor weather.

Production Diary 7:
On this day we managed to get a few shots despite the weather still being different from the first day of shooting.

Production Diary 8:
On this day we re-shot the scenes that had continuity errors because of the weather on the second and third day of shooting.

Production Diary 9:
On this day we finished filming and managed to get all the shots we needed.

Production Diary 10:
On this day we started the post production. I started the editing, by importing all the clips into adobe premier pro. We chose which takes we were going to use and I cut down most of the clips to the right size and put them together before allowing Toby and Harry to have their turns at editing.

Production Diary 11:
I did some more cutting, added the transitions that were needed and added colour correction to make the film black and white.

Production Diary 12:
I spent the lesson making the soundtrack for the film, which I ended up completing at home.

Production Diary 13:
On this day I imported the song I made into the editing software and matched it up with the film. We changed the levels so that the dialogue could be heard with the song playing.

Production Diary 14:
On this day we had to finish up and export the film, so we spent the lessons polishing up what we could and tried to hide our mistakes as best we could. We managed to export the film just in time before the deadline,
